Before you submit, please, read carefully.

We are glad to invite you to join the English Writers’ Association, a community full of literary aficionados and creatives alike.

Are you a poet, playwright, proser, spoken word artist, graffiti artist, painter, or anything creative whatsoever in the Department of English and Literary Studies or English Language Education at FUOYE? Do you seek a creative space to showcase your talent or hone your creativity? Then EWA is for you.

The English Writers’ Association has just recruited new members and is still very much open to accommodating interested writers and creatives alike.

As a member, you will have access to a wide range of exclusive benefits and opportunities to engage with like-minded individuals who share your passion for creativity. You’ll also constantly get calls for submissions from top-notch magazines, as well as a series of webinars to help hone your creative skills.

For writers who are not students of English and/or Literary Studies and Federal University Oye-Ekiti

Terms of Agreement

  1. Writing for EWA is completely voluntary and there is NO money (in whatever currency or form) to be paid to the writer, anyone, or any organisation.
  2. EWA accepts all genres including critical essays and articles, pictures, paintings, reviews, and so on.
  3. EWA exclusively owns the rights to the submitted content for two weeks. After a period of two weeks (14 days) from the period of uploading, the author may choose to submit the work for publication elsewhere after having informed and gotten a formal (which must be written and acknowledged by the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor or both) approval from EWA via e-mail.
  4. EWA only accepts works that are unpublished irrespective of length. If a writer submits a work that had earlier been published on any platform and EWA lacks this knowledge and publishes it; the writer shall be liable to bear the consequences whatsoever that come with it.
  5. All submissions should be in English. In case the writer writes in a language other than English, translations should accompany it. If the writer includes a few words from a local language, translations must accompany it too. Only those who write in FRENCH, GERMAN, or SPANISH could submit their works in the original languages they are written.

  7. All works are to be sent via e-mail to englishfuoye@gmail.com
    • Sending your work to the above-mentioned e-mail address means you have agreed to the terms and conditions and that by the laws of your country, you are eligible by virtue of age, to enter an agreement.
    • That you are mentally sound and of valid consent.
    • And that you have read and agreed to all the terms spelt out in this agreement.
