Clad in garment of self-doubt,
In anxiety, I have dwelled.
From cradle to adolescence,
Inferiority has been my greatest companion.
For though, I see greatness in others,
Yet I am an exception;
An object of ridicule.
Often times,
I try to break free from my dear clingy companion.
Not wanting to let go,
She grips me with her claws,
And drains every iota of positivity in me.
In self-pity do I find solace
For the world is unfair to me,
And my existence, meaningless.
Where comes hope to give a life full of courage?
Where comes beauty
To make me see
Perfection in all things?
Where does come belief?
Delay not, for I need you
To step into the world of success that awaits me!
